Best practices for a stereolithography printer.

Your 3D printer is a stereolithography or SLA printer. It uses light to turn the liquid resin into a solid 3D-printed part. Here are some things to keep in mind when you're using your stereolithography printer:

  • The printer liquid may be harmful to you

The liquid used by a stereolithography printer is a mixture of chemicals. Often the manufacturers of these liquids don't tell us exactly what is in them, so it is safest to assume that the liquids may be harmful if you consume or contact them. So...

    • Wear gloves when working with the liquid

Put on chemically-resistant gloves whenever you're adding liquid to your printer, removing liquid from your printer, or touching printer parts that have been in contact with the liquid.

    • Wear eye protection when working with the liquid

Put on safety glasses whenever you're adding liquid to your printer or removing liquid from your printer.
